My background and experience

Following the completion of my degree in Business Studies in 1994, I have amassed over 20 years’ experience in Business’ both large and small. But I have also continued to learn and develop new skills in many different areas.

I describe myself as an experienced pragmatic, solutions focused individual. Natural at managing and coordinating, with a positive, friendly approach. I thrive on a challenge, working under pressure and always delivers results. I can often find areas for continuous improvement, simplification and efficiency. I am grateful to say that I am highly regarded by clients, employers, and colleagues. 

Now is the time for me to take the plunge and begin working for myself – like many of you!

Keeping a track of customer invoices and supplier receipts, all logged and filed ready for the annual account returns  


Client invoicing / receipts / certificates

Getting those invoices out accurately and efficiently to ensure speedy payment and improving your cashflow, along with ensuring customers receive any certificates (Gas safety check) or guarantees or instructions that you may provide.


Payment receipts

Taking customer payments on your behalf – quickly and efficiently via bacs or card payment. No messing about going to the bank with cheques – or if customers do wish to pay by cheque or cash, I can bank that for you, whilst you are busy doing what you do best.


Credit Control / Cashflow management (chasing payments)

Following up on invoices and getting those all-important payments in asap. Keeping your Credit rating up and your cashflow healthy.


Business Administration

Keeping track of your insurances: premises, vehicle, public liability etc. Ensuring you are registered and certified with the correct regulatory authority or affiliated with the right Organisations.


Supplies Ordering and Delivery Management

On those big jobs – tell me what you need, and I can have it delivered just when required and be the point of contact with your suppliers for all your materials.


Customer Enquiries

First point of contact for Customers – whilst you are busy doing what you do best, we will answer the phone, keep a check on email or website enquires and ensure that contact is made with the potential customer.


Quotation preparation

Arrange appointments for quotations or prepare quotes ready for issue based on your pricing schedule or business plan.


Customer liaison

Keeping the Customer informed, so that they know what to expect and when to expect you. Key to keeping your customers happy and getting that all-important repeat business


Appointment scheduling

Booking that all-important appointment to capture the business and ensure that you have a full properly managed diary.


Diary Management

Scheduling effectively to take consideration of your holidays, weekends etc, and the size of job and how long it may take – scheduling could be done well in advance providing you with an effective business forecasting tool.


Repeat business (regular maintenance and servicing)

Keeping check of those regular appointments i.e. Annual Boiler Servicing, MOT etc reminding your customers when it is due and getting them booked in, before they go elsewhere.


Marketing

Facebook – the most popular way to find a tradesman these days

Websites – keeping it up to date, and promoting special offers etc.

Advertising – ensuring your services are seen and heard about in all the right places, for the best impact for your business.
